It is with full hearts that we share that this past summer marked our final season at the beach.

For more than 20 years, Macatawa Boat House has had the honor of providing fun, family-friendly water access to the Holland State Park community. From campers crossing Ottawa Beach Road to spend the afternoon on the water, to youth groups, schools, churches, organizations, and families who trusted us with their large gatherings — you made this place special.

We are especially grateful for the incredible team members who have been part of the Boat House crew over the years. Our employees were far more than staff — they became family. Their work ethic, kindness, leadership, and joy shaped the experience for every customer who walked up to our window. We simply could not have operated the Boat House without them. Their fingerprints are on every memory made here.

 

We are thankful for the thousands of moments shared on the shoreline, the laughter carried across Lake Macatawa, and the generations of families who returned year after year. Serving the Holland State Park and Park Township community has been a true privilege.

As seasons change, so do chapters. While we will not be continuing operations, we look back with deep gratitude and pride in what we built together. The beach will always feel like home to us. Thank you for supporting a small, family-run business for over two decades. Thank you for choosing us. Thank you for the memories.

We’re looking forward to spending more time with our family and enjoying summer from a new perspective — maybe even on the other side of the rental counter.
